How long does a wood sign last?

Every wood sign is coated with five coats of marine grade urethane. The coating will protect your signfrom moisture, pests, mildew, and the sun’s UV light. Your signwill last many many years if left untouched, but we recommend a simple yearly maintenance schedule to keep its color vibrant. 

What type of wood do you use?

Alder is our go-to wood, but we can do almost any species you request.

Can I request a custom size or shape?

Absolutely. We are expert craftsmen and take great pride in going above and beyond to create the perfect sign for your needs. Describe your request to us by submitting a custom request, and we’ll get back to you right away with a quote.

Is the design printed or engraved?

The design is engraved and painted.

Do you use a protective finish?

Your signwill last many many years if left untouched, but we recommend a simple yearly maintenance schedule to keep its color vibrant. This maintenance consists of cleaning your sign with water and applying two coats of Helmsman Spar Urethane in spray can form

How do you package and ship?

Your sign will be carefully packaged in a custom crate. We primarily ship with FedEx. If you're outside of the US please let us know so we can get an accurate shipping quote.

Do you ship internationally?

We do, but please let us know before you order so we can get you an accurate shipping quote.

How long does it take to create and ship a wood sign?

Production time is 15-20 business days. Our standard ground shipping is 3-5 business days within the US. If your service requires a shorter timeframe we offer an expedited production time and overnight shipping. Please let us know when you order or place a custom quote request.
